DO NOT use sand as a filler material for this product. If you are using a filler other than dried chickpeas (rice, shredded fabric, plastic beads, dried corn, etc.) please ensure that the total weight of your filler material does not exceed 55.5lb (25.17kg).

Originally made from small burlap sacks filled with dried corn, Maize Bags and Maize Balls are some of the oldest pieces of boxing equipment around, providing unique training benefits. Compact and easy to mount, the Maize Bag allows you to improve your speed, power, punching accuracy and upper body movement.

For the best training experience, we recommend using dried chickpeas as a filler. Alternatively, you can use fillers such as rice, shredded fabric, plastic beads and, of course, dried corn. Adjust the amount of filler material to achieve your preferred weight and density. If you want to use another type of filler not listed here, be sure to contact our customer service team to get the best advice!

  • Do not dry equipment in direct sunlight. UV exposure and heat can cause cracking, fading, and premature wear.
  • Do not use a dryer or washing machine. Heat and excessive water can damage fabric, padding, adhesives, and stitching.
  • Do not leave gear in hot cars or gym bags for long periods. Heat and trapped moisture can cause odor, bacteria growth, and material breakdown.
  • Do not use a dishwasher for bottles or accessories unless clearly labeled dishwasher-safe.
  • Do not apply Vaseline, petroleum jelly, oils, or heavy creams. These can damage leather, synthetics, stitching, and padding.

  • Always air-dry equipment in a cool, shaded, well-ventilated area.
  • Always wipe down equipment after use with a clean, dry towel.
  • Only use light, equipment-safe cleaners or anti-bacterial sprays designed for sports gear.

Great Bag!

"Rival has truly done a wonderful job with this classic. I can think of no better bag to improve one’s technique. If possible, I would recommend filling it up outside, so you don’t accidentally pour grain all over the inside of your living space/floor etc. It would definitely be helpful If you have assistance with someone keeping the backend open while somebody fills it. Follow the instructions that rival provides about the filling materials and you should be fine. Yes this bag will be an investment of your time in finding a deal on the grain. I would recommend a feed store if you have one in your area to keep costs down. In my opinion it is truly worth it."
